What to do

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
Here are some of the pictures from the garden just a week and a half from date of the garden tour. If you hadn't guessed a deer or deers came through and had a feast. What is a gardener to do? The Liquid Fence I have been using isn't working anymore. I guess the deer have gotten over the garlic rotten egg smell or maybe they use clothes pins on their noses?!?!?!?
Needless to say it was off to every garden center and nursery around to find replacements. It is a good thing this time of year they carry bigger plants in bigger pots. That made it easier to fill in the holes. But they bad side it that these places have you over a barrel knowing that you want/need the bigger plants so it doesn't look like you just planted your garden!! Oh well I will just go out to the woods and get a couple hundred dollars off that money tree!!!!!

Sorry about the deer. Butch must be not to interested in them. As I sugested in an early comment, maybe the rainbird scarecrow would work. Gardeners in my area love them. Have you thought of a delicious venison dinner in the future? :)

Maybe Butch needs a bedroom out in the yard! Doesn't sound like he is pulling his weight. Jane

Of course it happens just before the garden tour. Don't worry, every garden I've ever toured had some last-minute fill-ins. On the other hand, if you do find that money tree, there's some full-blown beautiful container gardens out there - for big bucks!

Bob, One of the other gardeners that toured our garden said that the only thing good about the rainbird was that it attracted the neighbors kids! But it couldn't hurt. Will have to track one down.

Jane, Butch sleep outside!!! LOL, that will never happen.

Lost Rose, I did several fill-ins. No one noticed or they were nice enough not to say anything.
